* The engine model tag on a Briggs engine is located below the rear valve cover on the block, you may need to remove the firewall to locate it by laying on the seat and looking in through the firewall and around the transmission. Sticking your phone down behind the engine and taking a picture is the easiest. You can also call us, and we can look it up with your Serial/VIN# tag off the Argo located on the dashboard about knee level.
Write down your engine code from below, you will need to enter it in the engine model box on the Kohler digital manuals look-up page.

* The drop in replacement engine through Argo is part number 400-0088 Briggs Spec (356447-3543-G1). Be sure to save your pull-start rewind if your old engine was equipped as the new version does not come with one.
