# 127-81AM - THROTTLE, TWIST, ARGO - AFTERMARKET 127-81AM - THROTTLE, TWIST, ARGO - AFTERMARKET - ARGO PARTS Aftermarket replacement Argo twist throttle for models 1990 -2019. _Also available as a kit with throttle cable and grips for select model years 1999-2019 order TPK-101 __**The original Argo OEM 127-81 twist throttle has been discontinued by Magura and Argo has not been able to source a replacement.  While at a price premium due to low manufacturing quantities, Doc's was able to have a custom version made that fits the 612-101 throttle cable perfectly and will keep your Argo running.** _ Fits Argo XTV Models: All models from 1999 - 2019\* **Grips are not included.  Order qty (1) 10507C for the left handlebar and qty (1) 10508C for the right throttle position if you want them to match as the old 127-35 grips are no longer available.  Comfort grip set # 0630-2354 are also available and are included in our TPK-101 kit.** **If your model is older, please call for the correct cable and kit configuration or see the superseded notes below.** \* Not compatible with the 2019 Aurora 8x8 or any model 2020 or newer with the finger pull throttle. Installation Tech Tip: To remove the grip with little effort, you can either carefully pull or cut it off or take an air hose from a compressor and place it at the small hole at the end of the grip, insert air in the hole in a circular motion while you pull towards yourself.  To install a new grip, apply a little grip glue to the inside of the grip, place the end of the grip on the throttle tube about a 1/2 inch to 1 inch and insert air in the grip end hole and push on while applying air in a circular motion.  Be sure the grip overhangs the handlebar about 1/4 so the throttle tube clamped on the handlebar works best.  DO NOT overtighten the screw/nuts on the throttle tube or you will crack the plastic, tighten so the throttle base does not rotate when twisting the throttle. **AVENGER 750 & 700 / HDI 750 / HD 700 ** Model years 2004 -2014 the original throttle cable was a 612-116 and now is discontinued. use cable 612-101 or order kit TK-101.  See download tab to install. fits all Avenger 700, Avenger 750 EFI, HD 700 and HDI 750 8x8. HDI SE from years 2004 - current production on the 2015 models was switched to the 612-101 CABLE.  --------------------------------------------------- **BIGFOOT 6X6 ** **BIGFOOT 1997 - 1999** The stock throttle cable was a 612-76. This cable is replaced by ordering a 612-101 and new throttle twist grip 127-81AM. The 612-76 cable is no longer available.  Slight modification may be needed to get the throttle cable to fit on the throttle plate. **BIGFOOT 6X6 2000-2006** The stock cable is a 612-101 for use with throttle tube 127-81AM. \------------------------------------------------- **CONQUEST 8X8 ** **CONQUEST 1994 - 1996** Stock throttle cable 612-90 is replaced by throttle cable 812-28. Also requires parts 125-88 and 127-52 to upgrade for the 812-28 to fit. You will use the stock 100-57 chrome throttle twist grip to install these parts. Visit part 812-28 for modification instructions. If you need to replace the throttle, the new style 612-101 throttle cable and 127-81AM throttle twist grip can be used however you will need to jury rig it to work as the cable and mounting is different. If you order a 612-101 and 127-81AM (Kit TK-101) you do not need cable 812-28. If you can save your stock chrome throttle twist grip do so, so you don't have to jury rig the newer version cable/throttle twist grip on your vehicle. **CONQUEST 1997 ** 812-28 is the stock cable for the above year. No modifications are required if you are using the stock 100-57 chrome throttle twist grip. If you need to replace the throttle cable and throttle twist grip the new style 612-101 cable and 127-81AM (Kit TK-101) throttle twist grip can be used however you will need to jury rig it to work as the cable and mounting are different. The 100-57 chrome throttle twist grips are no longer available. Do your best to save the chrome throttle twist grip so you don't have to modify the throttle system. **CONQUEST 1998 - 1999** To replace throttle cable # 612-76 you will need to order throttle cable 612-101 and new throttle twist grip 127-81AM (Kit TK-101). These parts are currently available and will bolt with little modifications needed. **CONQUEST 2000 - 2007** The above years use throttle cable 612-101 and plastic throttle twist grip 127-81AM. Both items are currently available and are direct replacements for the stock cable and throttle twist grip mounted on the above years. \------------------------------------- **RESPONSE 8X8 INFORMATION ** **RESPONSE 1995 -1999** To replace throttle cable 612-93 you will need to upgrade to throttle cable 612-101 and throttle twist grip 127-81AM (Kit TK-101). The 612-101 throttle cable will not work with the stock 100-57 chrome throttle twist grip found on the response. Throttle cable 612-93 is no longer available. **RESPONSE 2000 - 2006** The stock throttle cable is a 612-101 and the throttle twist grip is 127-81AM. \-------------------------------------------- **VANGUARD & VANGUARD 2 6X6 ** **VANGUARD / VANGUARD 2 6X6 1992 - 1995** The stock throttle cable 612-89 is replaced with throttle cable 612-77. For use only with the stock 100-57 chrome throttle twist grip. Will not fit the new 127-81AM plastic throttle twist grip. If you need to replace the throttle twist grip and cable you can order 612-101 and 127-81AM (Kit TK-101) and jury rig. **VANGUARD / VANGUARD 2 6X6 1996 -1999** The stock cable is a 612-77 for use only with chrome 100-57 throttle twist grip. Will not fit the new 127-81AM plastic throttle twist grip.
